The Chanel Cabas Eté bags will be in Chanel boutiques starting in February 2012.
Is there ever a summer where a canvas tote isn’t so much as a desire as a downright requirement? The association with beachside pleasure is almost Pavlovian; and that’s the beauty of it. You can put a canvas tote into any environment, and the effortless association of summer comes right along with it.

For Summer 2012 Chanel is releasing the perfect bag to bring along to the pool or the beach – the Chanel Cabas Eté. The bag is perfect for poolside sessions because there is no leather on the bag, instead, ribbon is woven through the chain and the bag is cotton canvas. The faded colors already look sun-drenched and summer ready – perfect for your fun in the sun. Printed with Chanel’s double C motif as well as the legendary address of Coco Chanel, it will be available in 5 different sizes and 4 different colours.

No word yet on the prices of the 5 different sizes (so stay tuned for more updates) but it is expected to be released come February 2012 worldwide.
